Experiment #54=Shirokuma/Kurokuma Adaptation/Replica
Description of Experiment: Like her brother, subject #14, Makoto Naegi, was turned into the symbol of despair itself, or at least a variation of it. Instead of Monokuma, Komaru was made to reflect Shirokuma, and Kurokuma, two mascots of hope and despair created to store The Professor’s AI’s. A similar procedure used on Makoto, Experiment #14, was done to Komaru, however this time, the right side of her face has also been altered, and the Professors AI’s were implanted in the subjects mind, which causes Komaru to experience something similar to Multiple Personality Disorder, switching from Komaru, to Shirokuma, to Kurokuma. This was done as a safety measure, so that in case anything happens to the professor, she’ll be able to continue her work through Komaru’s body. (For details on the physical procedure to Komaru Naegi, reference experiment #14’s report.)
History: Komaru was kidnapped and taken to the lab as part the plan to capture the Warriors of Hope and experiment on them. She managed to evade all 5 of them, and ended up trying to escape. She ended up meeting up with a few experiments who were out of their cell, due to the lockdown. On her way to see her brother, she was ambushed and knocked out by the professor. Once she woke up from the operation, she was terrified and shocked due to the AIs implanted in her head. She doesn’t seem to have fallen into anywhere near as much hopelessness as her brother, despite the AIs in her head.
K.Y Notes: Miss Naegi has 3 different conflicting personalities inside of her mind, due to the AI’s Miss Enoshima had implanted in Miss Naegi’s mind. Miss Naegi, when actually in control of her mind, spends most of her time crying, and shaking in the corner of her cell. She enjoys my company however, and takes comfort in my visits. Shirokuma is soft, quiet and gentle, however they’re extremely manipulative, when Miss Enoshima described Shirokuma, she referred to them as “White Despair”. Kurokuma, is loud, vulgar, and irritating to say the least, but underneath all of that he can be very supporting. Miss Enoshima refers to Kurokuma as “Black Hope”.
Experiment #53=Hydra Adaptation/ Tri Link
Description of Experiment: This experiment was... fun, to say the least. A punishment for finding something they shouldn’t have. Each subject was first injected with smaller doses of the chemicals used on subject #10, Leon Kuwata, and subject #22, Peko Pekoyama. This caused skin discoloration, and markings to form around the hands and eyes. Next, each subject was cut approximately in half, and legs amputated. The two were then stitched together, and one leg from each half was reattached and connected to the nerves, though we had to surgically shorten one so the two could be able to balance one day. Organs were moved about and combined so that the two could live properly with one body. Because of this, they have 2 hearts, 3 lungs,2 gallbladders, 3 kidneys, 2 stomachs but still just one set of intestines, which was tricky to connect to both stomachs, one liver, and one bladder. The extra arms from the remaining halves were reattached to nerves behind the regular arms. Chemicals were added in order to prevent the immune systems of the two halves from going haywire, and some water link chemicals were added at the stitches in order to stop the contrasting elements of fire and ice from reacting too much. An artificial tail was connected to the nerves on the spine, and extra chemicals were added so that it also has fire and ice. A collar was put on each subject, so we could shock them if they get too out of hand with their abilities.
History: Catching these subjects proved to be quite the challenge, and it was very clear that neither of them wanted to be experimented on at all. After leaving the sectors they had been assigned to, they managed to break into Junko’s office to find and destroy their own experiment files. They found... something else as well, so subject #50, Monaca Towa attempted to get one of the assistants to capture them. The two managed to run off before anyone came, likely hoping to locate an exit, or some way to escape. They did find what they assumed to be an exit, which lead to them releasing something, causing the entire lab to go into a lockdown state, and an error in the lockdown also temporarily opened all the cells in sector 2. Subject #50 managed to find them again, this time accompanied by Junko Enoshima, who saw what the subjects had done. We managed to drag the two to the operating room at last, for a very special punishment…When they finally woke up in the operating room, they immediately panicked, screaming and crying, seeing what was done to them. While Monokuma was trying to take them to their cell, they accidentally destroyed him with their powers while flailing about in a panic, and then passed out from the elemental reaction that was caused. The experiment stays in the bed of their cell, crying to themselves. They aren’t able to walk so far, since they can’t coordinate themselves as of now. The experimentation process seems to have caused each subject a lot of shock and pain, physically and mentally.
K.Y Notes: Speaking to these two is… interesting. It took quite a while to get them to cooperate with me, and even once they both decided I wasn’t a threat, there’s still days where neither of them will talk to me, even being aggressive at times. Even thought what I have learned about the two is limited, it’s clear both are miserable from what was done. The red haired one, Masaru, seems to be distressed over the physical impacts of the experimentation, while the blue haired one, Nagisa, is more psychologically damaged by the situation itself, especially Miss Towa’s betrayal. Their stress also seems to also stem from previous trauma and abuse, physical for one and mental for the other. Miss Enoshima has instructed me to watch over them closely, even more than subject #39, and to report all and any suspicious behavior. She told me that the experimentation was a punishment, and they most definitely know something they shouldn’t.
Experiment #52=Butterfly Adaptation
Description of Experiment: Subject has been made part butterfly, chemicals were added and internal organs modified to be more like a butterfly. The chemicals caused the patterns on the eyes to become more prominent, and also caused the eyes to turn pink, and bleed. Fully working artificial wings were also added, and hands were replaced with more adapted ones, that are more like insect limbs. Antennae were connected to the head, they are highly sensitive feelers. Subject has a very strong taste for sweet things like syrup now.
History: Subject #52 came along with the other Warriors of Hope, on a “mission” that was secretly a trap. Kotoko was told to search the sector 4 hallway. Keebo was sent to knock her out, and reluctantly had to. Kotoko was extremely shocked when she woke up, and didn’t fight back when being brought to her cell. However, she was stubborn with wearing the clothes we gave her, so we ended up giving her a different dress. She often talks to experiments #51 and #53. The subject seems to be hiding anger towards Junko and experiment #50, Monaca Towa, especially after speaking to her group members.
K.Y Notes: Kotoko Utsugi was a child actor, back during my days at Hope’s peak I’d see her on stage during the school’s yearly plays. Why I’m bringing this up, is because Miss Utsugi prefers to hide her emotions with her acting abilities. The only real emotion I can tell she’s experiencing is anger, specifically her anger towards the young Miss Towa. She blames her for what happened to the rest of the Warriors of Hope, and rightfully so. I’ve yet to make any progress on properly befriending her, but one thing I’ve learned is to not say the word “gentle” around her. The reason for this being her trigger word is likely related to some kind of traumatic incident that occurred in her past.
Experiment #51=Living Painting Adaptation
Description of Experiment: The subject has been put on display, since he hates his own appearance so much, so we made him into a painting! All organs, veins, and such were removed from the subject’s body and placed in a special container so that the subject is alive without a skeleton, nerves, muscles, skin, and all sensory organs. The container is connected to a special picture frame, with a projection of the subject on it. The brain is connected to this projection, and the special eye and “ears” at the top of the frame. The subject’s brain sends signals to the projection, giving an image of his expressions and movement on the canvas. The painting itself cannot be moved without assistance, but assistance is not needed for other reasons, because the subject’s organs are in the container, bodily functions occur normally, and nutrients are obtained through a tube. Due to the subject's inability to move and general weakness, we decided to give it a self defense mechanism; the ability to make a high pitched screeching noise if in any danger, but so far this had not been used.
History: Subject #51 arrived along with the other members of the Warriors of Hope on a “mission”. Monaca Towa, subject #50, asked him to search the sector 2 hallway. There, Mukuro quickly knocked him out. Once he woke up after the operation, he panicked and started crying, largely due to his inability to cover his face. The subject now stays propped up in the corner of his cell, unable to do interact with anything around him. He talks with a lot of the assistants, usually about disturbing ways he’ll hurt them, which is quite amusing considering he exists on 2 dimensions.K.Y Notes: Speaking with all of these children, are each very odd experiences. During my conversations with Jataro, he often speaks to me about his mother, and why he loves being hated. He always appears extremely upset when I tell him that I don’t hate him. However, when I spoke with him for the first few days of his arrival at the lab, he described some very disturbing things he would do to me if Miss Enoshima hadn’t instructed him to leave the staff alone. No special instructions from Miss Enoshima have been given regarding this experiment.
